How to Register and Vote Past the Deadline in San Diego

Big news! If you are an eligible voter in California, your vote will still count, even if you haven't registered prior to election day!

Beginning in 2018, there is a new way to register and cast a ballot in California elections, even if the standard Vote By Mail or Polling Place deadline has passed. It's called Conditional Voter Registration, and if you are an eligible voter, your vote will count!

How to Register and Vote past the deadline:

Follow these steps any day between now and Tuesday, November 6th, 2018

  1. Go to the San Diego County Registrar of Voters office, located in Kearny Mesa
    See hours, directions and more

  2. Enter the main entrance, and request to register and vote

  3. Complete the paper Voter Registration form

  4. Complete and cast your ballot in person
