San Diego: Alternative Ways to Vote in November 2018
WHAT IF I WANT TO VOTE BUT CANNOT MAKE IT TO THE POLLS ON ELECTION DAY?
You can request a mail ballot by:
- visiting sdvote.com and printing the application or by calling the Registrar of Voters and requesting an application before the deadline at 5:00PM on Tuesday, October 20th, 2018; or
- completing the application card on the back of your sample ballot pamphlet; or
- writing your own request.
Applications may be sent to the San Diego County Registrar of Voters, 5600 Overland Ave, San Diego, 92123. You may email your application to email@example.com or fax to (858) 694-2955. Written requests for a mail ballot must contain your name, registered address in San Diego, signature and address where the ballot is to be mailed. The deadline to request a mail ballot for the Gubernatorial General Election is Tuesday, October 30, 2018.
WHAT IF YOU MISS THE DEADLINE? (YOU CAN STILL VOTE!)
Voters may also vote at the Registrar of Voters office beginning on Monday, October 8, 2018 through Election Day (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; on Election Day 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.). Any mail ballot postmarked by Election Day and received by the Registrar of Voters no later than Friday, November 9, 2018 will be considered timely cast.
